Recognition	Poor -cannot identify the sound of the letter - cannot produce the sound of the letter correctly after 5 exposures	Fair - can identify and produce the sound of the letter after two prompts - can produce the sound of the letter 1-2 times correctly after 5 exposures	Good - can identify and produce the sound of the letter after one prompt - can produce the sound of the letter correctly 3 - 4 times correctly after 5 exposures	Very Good - can identify and produce the sound of the letter without prompt - can produce the sound of the letter correctly 5 times after 5 exposures
letter formation	Poor - letter formation is not adquired	Fair - letter formation is in progress	Good letter formation is good	Very Good letter formation is very good. Capital letters and lower case are used in the correct places.
Blending	Poor - cannot say the sounds that the letters make. - cannot read some simple words with previous sounds in them. - cannot write and spell words with previous sounds in them	Fair - can say the sounds that the letters make, -can read 2 - 3 words with previous sounds in them and can write and spell them	Good - can say the sounds that the letters make, -can read 4 words with previous sounds in them and can write and spell them	Very Good - can say the sounds that the letters make, -can read 5 words with previous sounds in them and can write and spell them
ObjectAssociation	Poor - cannot associate a object to a letter sound	Fair -can associate 2 - 3 objects with the given letter as the beginning sound of the pictures or objects	Good -can associate 4 objects with the given letter as the beginning sound of the pictures or objects	Very Good - can associate 5 or more than 5 objects with the given letter as the beginning sound of the mentioned objects or pictures
