You have a $5000 budget and must take a trip for a minimum of 6 days. On days 2,4,6 you will be given an Uh-Oh or a Yahoo card which you must incorporate into the journal you will keep for each day of the trip. You may be gone up to three weeks if you choose. Your expenses must be kept in a separate document and hyperlinked to you journal.

Students are to plan a vacation, listing the destination, creating an itinerary, keeping track of budget, and making a basic presentation.

With a budget of $5,000 students must plan a two week trip to anywhere in the world.

You will create, adjust, and work with a personal budget for the first two of the next four weeks. Your grade will be determined according to the guidelines below. If you have any questions, please ask your teacher.

Students develop a budget for a 3-month period, to essentially "move out". They have to plan a menu, go grocery shopping, plan for transportation expenses, laundry, determine if there is a need for a roommate, estimate deposits on apartment and utilities and other expenses students need to be aware of before they move out.

The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'My Country' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit their assigned country for 8-10 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report.

The student will decide what their future will be like when they grow up. They will then create a monthly budget based off of factual information provided through books, internet, etc.
