5 rubric Article and Discussion       popup preview
The objective of this assignment is to generate critical thinking about trends and issues related to the integration of technology. You are required to find one article (journal, magazine, internet, etc) that discusses/addresses current research (published since 2003), trends or issues regarding integration of technology in the classroom. Read the article, provide a quick overview of the article's main points/issues/trends, and post a link to the article on Moodle, so others can read it. You also need to read one other student’s article and post a reply about the article and the student’s comments/overview. You may address the following questions in your article write-up: 1. What implications does the information presented have for students? 2. How may the implications affect you as a school leader or teacher? 3. What does it mean for teaching? Positive or negative change to the field?

16 rubric Class Participation Grade       popup preview
(20 POINTS - 4 points each section) Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be determined. All students are expected to participate in class! I do understand that some students are shy and participate in ways other than class discussion. Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, adhering to the no-voice and no-phone rule, consistent attendance, and being able to answer in-class ASL dialogue from both the teacher and other students. NOTE: If you get to the point of having a fair/poor participation grade in one or more areas, it will probably be recommended that you withdraw from the class, as you probably will not be able to keep up with the material. If a student is absent, s/he losts points on the punctuality grade rubric also.

18 rubric Class Participation Rubric       popup preview
This chart describes how your class participation grade will be determined. All students are expected to participate in class daily. Attendance will not be graded directly, but you can't participate if you're not here, so frequent absences (more than 2-3 classes, especially without a reasonable excuse) will tend to lower your score.
