Students will create posters either individually or in pairs to highlight 4 kinds of roofing materials. Posters will provide a general description of the material through picture and words.

Practice transferring angles and measurements, cutting wood, making a lap joint and assembling material.

A rubric that properly evaluates the artistic process of building and designing. It measures the various phases and approaches that are necessary in the assessment of this project.

The students will work with a partner and put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information about how to treat a specific type of injury. Poster is to include a description of the injury with ways they could occur in the Building Trades Lab and preventative measures that should be taken. A draft of the design will be drawn on paper then presented on a full-sized poster board.
