Concepts of motor skill development using agility, power, speed and coordination are to be intergrated into the practiced skills of field hockey.

Students will be assessed on their skill acquisition, proficiency and attitude towards specific kicking activities related to soccer. VELS level 3/ Grade 3

The student should devise a tactical offensive and defensive strategy for a 3 vs. 3 game of basketball.Students will be organized in groups of 3. Mr. Lum will choose each team. Each teammate will work with his or her teammates to be able to perform an offensive and defensive strategy and be able to explain why they used them. Each student will be marked individually and have the choice to write the test with their teammates or alone. The students will have plenty of time to practice during class time. In addition, the students will have the basketball rubric to look at well before the day of the test so that they know exactly what they will be graded on.

Determine a student's overall knowledge of the game and importance of team work.

The students will organize and play a game of basketball, using different defenses

Basketball- students will dribble the ball with both hands, students will shoot the basketball, students will perform lay ups, students will show competency during a game situation.

Beginning basketball - students will dribble the ball with both hands, students will shoot the basketball, students will follow the rules and demonstrate good sportsmanship.

This rubric is a task-specific rubric. Students will be assessed on 5 categories or skills. They will receive a check mark in each category or skill that is executed properly. The rubric is worth 25% and each check is worth 5 points. Please place a check or an x by the word score. If they receive an x, this means they were not successful in the specific category and they do not receive the 5 points.

Assessment of understanding of how to appropriately use volleyball skills

This assessment will be graded on your overall knowledge and effort in our volleyball unit, as well as the student's strategy of play. Students will also be graded on number of total laps completed on the indoor track during the volleyball unit.

Assesses the basic soccer skills of passing and trapping.

Striking may include hitting or kicking actions.
