Compare/contrast active and passive transport.

Make and label a model of the human heart using various materials. In addition to the model, provide a written description of each part's job, as well as a written description of the cardiac cycle.

Students will create a heart design using mosaic application.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant description regarding HIV - AIDS. Students will provide in a creative and colorful poster/pictures or scenarios displaying how they feel about being 'stressed'.

Rubric for the "Day in the Life of a Diabetic" Project

Students will write a brief essay in which they discuss COVID-19 during their 2020 school year. To include: How is Coronavirus affecting your life? School life? Home life? Social life? Do you feel as if the government is doing enough to contain the virus? If not, what would you change? When do you think "normalcy" will be back or not and why? If normalcy returns, how would you feel? Safe? Would you change your routine?

Students are to create a poster with an anti-bullying message and a presentation covering the topic of bullying. You should Include: Introduction slide that has your name, class period and date. Each slide should contain information on the topic and at least 1 picture/graphic. Include somewhere in your presentation 3-4 facts relating to the topic of bullying and you must cite the source of where you located the fact.

Student will create a project to demonstrate his/her knowledge about an assigned human body system. Student will address all of the organs in the system, the functions within the body system and why the body system is important for survival. A one page written, or half page typed (double space) report on how the system works will be required as part of the project. An oral presentation of their project to explain and answer questions on their system will be a portion of their grade.
