A rubric for students to evaluate their home workspace

This rubric is created to asses in writing a short story project. The students will show their understanding about the characteristics of short story and they will choose the topic of their own short story freely.

Prepare a 250 to 500-word description of a workday in the life of a person working in a career that interests you. Please write complete sentences. If you prefer, you can write a short story, make a cartoon strip or design a pamphlet, as long as you cover the same information. You should cover the following information: Duties and Responsibilities, Physical Demands, Skills, and Abilities Needed, Working Conditions

You will create a video using common workplace hazards to show your understanding of the rights and responsibilities of workers. Length: minimum of 40 seconds and maximum of 2 minutes. Everyone must make an appearance in the video.

The students will work individually or as a group to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of" Bullying Prevention." Posters will show techniques and creativity with colorful poster/pictures or scenarios displaying "bullying prevention." The poster will be designed on paper or a poster board of any size.

You will be put into groups and asked to create a short role play based on your assigned bullying scenario. After creating a short role play, your group will then perform your role play to a class.

Your assignment is to explain who you are. Choose a question from the brainstorm or one you come up with on your own that you will answer to explain yourself. You will also choose a creative outlet to help illustrate your answer. Include varied expressions of your personality, your childhood, as well as your goals and plans for the future. This will be presented to the class to help us get a better understanding of who you are.

This rubric will be used to assess all poems written by students included in the powerpoint.
