Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when composing the final grade for this assignment. Students create comic strip to illustrate the 8 passages of Darwin's life that are explained. Students are to only use one word per passage in their comic.

Students will find a TED talk that relates to a specific topic from a Chapter in the text book. Browse through the chapter you signed up for and find something interesting and then search for a TED Talk that matches the subject. This can easily be done by searching the title of the chapter or the main topics of the chapter in TED.com website. Students then are to finish up the presentation with a 2 minute summary and discussion.

8 rubric Grid Drawn Self-Portrait       popup preview  
Using a digital photo of your self, grid the photo in a one inch grid. Then create a two inch grid on your illustration board to transfer your drawing to. After transferring your drawing using the grid, use two different mediums and color/shade your drawing. You will be graded on if you incorporate your own personal artistic style, use composition and design, craftsmanship, and effort.

Students will create a song or rap in which they include all of the vocabulary words from the chapter. Vocab words will be UNDERLINED. students WILL read/perform these in class, so be prepared! Students alternatively can bring a recorded version of their song along with a visual aid of the lyrics. HINT: If you choose 'song,' put it to a tune you already know!!!!!

The bulletin board will need to illustrate the main points of the chapter using diagrams, pictures and other visual aids.Each student will give an oral presentation using their interactive bulletin board. The board must include all key facts about the chapter, be creatively displayed, include ways that other students can interact with the board, such as a lift-a-flap game or puzzle. A bibliography must be posted onto the the board with at least one non-internet resource.
