Please write up a one page summary on the Scientific Method and its six steps.

Students prepare a 5-7 page paper about a relevant issue facing our national government. This issue should be something that our president, congressmen, or Supreme Court justices are facing currently. The paper is worth a total of 100 points, 20% of the final course grade, and grading is based on the criteria listed below.

Prepare an eight to twelve page APA style presentation on an issue or topic in Child Development. The length does not include the title page and reference section.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OBSERVATION Visit an Infant/Toddler Center to observe a child’s social emotional development. The age of the child must be under 36 months old. Use guidelines provided to write down any interactions between the child and caregiver that might promote the social/emotional development of the child and comment on what you have observed.

Single-Blind or Double-Blind (taste test) experiment 20 participants

Construct a resume based upon a future job that you would like to prepare for or construct a resume based on a current job that you are trying to obtain and prepare a Cover Letter to accompany your resume. You may use the Internet or Newspapers to apply for jobs.

Research the approved topic. Submit 3-5 typed pages of publishing the results of your research. Include a Works Cited page with at least 3 sources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. Grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Students have picked a topic that relates to the brain or is a part of it. They have formed groups and worked together in order to put together a knowledgeable presentation that will assist the rest of the class to better understand this complex and important part of the body.

Presentations based on student's choice of topic, links to each of four units, academic articles, and visual media.

Students will be responsible for thoroughly presenting the assigned topic
