The Presentation Team must present their research, as a team, to the class. Each member of the presentation team must speak. You will earn a grade that reflects the accuracy and detail of your research, and the quality of the presentation of your findings. Each student on the presentation team will earn a team collaboration grade. The team collaboration grade will be based on how effectively you perform your role as a member of the team.

Evaluation Criteria for Weekly Class Team Presentations

The students will work individually to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of Health and welness. The poster must include the 9 aspects of health (Health, wellness, physical, intellectual, emotional, interpersonal, spiritual and environmental). Students will create a poster of their interpretation of health and wellness. The poster will be designed on poster board using magazine cut outs and drawings.

Students will deliver a speech based on a selected special occasion: Speech will be graded on organization, delivery and time.

This rubric sets criteria for grading the Persuasive Speech presentations.

Students will participate in an interview. This interview has been prepared for by the assignment for job search, cover letter creation, resume creation and thank you letter once the interview is complete.

Students research careers, colleges, conduct personal interviews, and complete a job shadowing assignment. Students create a resume, cover letter, application, participate in mock job interviews, a post-interview Thank You note,and a personal plan for reaching their career goal. Total Possible Points: 150

To get a job interview you must do something that impresses a company enough to want to get to know you more. A resume may be your only chance to make this impression. Construct a resume based upon a future job that you would like to prepare for or construct a resume based on a current job that you are trying to obtain.

Student will interview peer. Upon completion of the interview, student will complete rubric and provide feedback on positive aspects of interview as well as possible ways to improve interview skills in a constructive manner.

This rubric will be used to assess the four types of public speaking exercises performed by students.

Informational writing includes non-fiction writing that describes, explains, informs, or summarizes ideas and content. The writing supports a statement based on research, observation, and/or experience. This writing piece is based on reading informational text. Students are informing the reader about their topic, which includes all components of an informative essay. 800 points possible

Write a cover letter to attach to the front of your resume. If you follow all of the things included in this rubric, you will have written a good cover letter. Therefore, try to include as many of these things as possible to have that extra edge on other competitors that are applying for the same job as you.
