Create a dialog between your assigned generals.

You will produce a newspaper using Lucid Press, that is based in a city of your choice. You will name the newspaper and create the Masthead, and pick the theme and layout. The following THREE parts of a newspaper MUST be included:a) Feature story (local current event) b)World News (international current event) c) a feature story. You must also choose from THREE of the following sections: Editorials, Sports, Arts & Entertainment, Obituaries, and advertisements.

This rubric will be used to assess any foldable.

Create a personal Coat of Arms. Remember that the purpose of a Coat of Arms is to represent who you are to the world.

Write a four paragraph essay utilizing four paragraph essay structure. Your essay should be typed (12 point font & double spaced) and in APA format. Attach this rubric to your essay if your essay is turned in in hard copy format.

Students will break into groups of 4, and be assigned a region of Canada. Each student in that group will be responsible for researching one of the Provinces within that region and creating a written outline, highlighting bolded words and vocabulary. They will present this to the class via an iPad picture of their notes. The group as a whole will produce and introduction and a closing complete with at least one personal observation.

Students will complete an article summary and then write a current event report following the graphic organizer instructions.

Imagine that you are writing to your family, from a distant place. Either you have joined the militia to go fight against the British, or perhaps you are a child or wife of an American soldier and you are writing to give them encouragement to trust in God during these uncertain times. Either way, address this paper as you would a formal letter.

The student will organise information by using a structure appropriate to formal reporting and use supporting evidence through use of investigation for the report.

Students choose any country in the world and use the Five Themes of Geography to describe the selected country.

Students will choose a trade to which they would like to be apprenticed in the colonies, (from a list) and do a one page (type written) report describing this trade and why it was important to the colonies. Students will also write a dramatic monologue, (at least 2 paragraphs and separate from the report) telling their prospective employer why you've chosen this trade and why he should choose them as his apprentice.
