Tinkercad Articulating Parts Project

Students create an engineering model, and present their model. The model should be based on an engineering concept that is based on a topic of the student's choosing.

This rubric is used to assess the students' use of the engineering design process.

The presenter(s) will put together a presentation to show during the oral presentation. The group's oral presentation must be aligned with the electronic presentation.

(20 POINTS - 4 points each section) Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be determined. All students are expected to participate in class! I do understand that some students are shy and participate in ways other than class discussion. Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, adhering to the no-voice and no-phone rule, consistent attendance, and being able to answer in-class ASL dialogue from both the teacher and other students. NOTE: If you get to the point of having a fair/poor participation grade in one or more areas, it will probably be recommended that you withdraw from the class, as you probably will not be able to keep up with the material. If a student is absent, s/he losts points on the punctuality grade rubric also.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

The ocean is divided into various zones that are differentiated by depth, temperature, pressure and light. The organisms that make habitats in these ocean zones develop adaptations to thrive in the various conditions. Ocean currents often influence their habitat by providing nutrients, affecting temperature, assisting in reproduction, etc.

The students will work on a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the ocean layers. Students will provide information on their assigned ocean layer and chosen organism in a creative and colorful poster.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Google Slides presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component (part) of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Google Slides presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your presentation have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

The students will create a short stop motion animation using Windows Movie Maker. They will utilize various mediums to animation their ideas, with set designs and lighting (if necessary).

You will create a map of the route your EV3 robot takes to the Main Office. Your map must include: distance of each stretch of the hallway, # of blocks in each stretch of the hallway (block dimensions), and clear labels of landmarks (cafe A, classroom doors, closets, etc.). Please include a map title, all relevant landmarks discussed, visual details (distance, # of blocks, # of seconds, turns). Lastly, list steps of travel including all details (distance, # of blocks, # of seconds, turns).
