Students need to have journal entries completed before each class. You will keep all journal entries in a notebook with all questions and responses to the questions. Reaction Paper Rubric
Must type or write a 750-800 word reaction paper. Must be submitted via google docs, or email if typing.

Informative Project Research MLA Paper
Research the approved topic. Submit one 7-10 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 5 resources used researching the paper. (use quotes from all 5)sources should include a news paper, professional journal, your text and two other books. Quotes can not be more than 5 lines. You are encouraged to interject your personal opinion into this paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

Podcast Script
You will use conversational English, while being scientifically accurate about your topic in a ~7-minute podcast. These are the types of stories you can discuss in your podcast. All group members should be heard in the podcast to ensure equal participation. You will have a workshop on editing the podcast later in the semester. Refer to class notes and the posted tips on script writing on Moodle. The rubric is used to evaluate the script.
