Scene performance rubric for drama scene performing.

The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing this comparing/contrasting essay. This rubric will help me, the teacher, to assess student writing and inform further instruction.The student will compare and contrast acts and scenes from the play, and the movie of the same name.

Students will work to put together a poster and Power point The poster will contain relevant information directly related to their era in theatre history. Students will provide information on their era in theatre history in a creative and colorful poster. The poster will be designed on poster board. The Power Point will contain a minimum of 6 slides, containing information relevant to their era in theatre history. It should be colorful, creative, and interesting.

Students were responsible to research an era of theatre history and then teach the rest of the class in presentation format. (see project handout)

Students will create an original script as a project. The script must be based on a famous artwork. The final draft must be typed in proper script format. The script must be a minimum of 10 minutes in final performance format.

Evaluates how well students of Introduction to Creative Writing class have completed the play writing assignment.
