Your travel agency asked you to create a poster/a model for the store about a French monument .you will have to write a paper on the specific monument of Paris of your choice. You need to cover the topics listed. Make sure that your project is neat and organized with titles, and that it is attractive to the client. When preparing your presentation it is vital that you thoroughly research your chosen monument. Use the following points to research: Factual details about the monument • How tall is it? (how big) • When was it built? • Why was it built? • Who built it? • Are there any interesting facts for the visitor? Factual details for the tourist • What are the opening hours of the monument? • How many tourists visit the monument each year? • How do you get to the monument by public transport? • When is the monument open? • How much does it cost to visit the monument?

TACHE: Créez une brochure de voyage

Vous êtes en groupe de 4. Vous allez créer un dialogue dans un restaurant en France. Vous créer un menu (avec photos et theme), mémoriser votre dialogue et avez des costumes/décors. In groups of 4-6 students create a skit that takes place in France in a restaurant of their choosing. Students must create a menu, use props which may include food to authenticate their script. Lines should be memorized.

Vous êtes en groupe de 2/3. Vous allez créer un dialogue dans un restaurant biologique français (Un restaurant bio offre des plats à base de produits naturels, de l'agriculture écologique, sans conservateurs et produits chimiques). Il va y avoir un problème et sa solution... Vous allez créer un menu (actuel ou virtuel avec photos et thème), apprendre vos lignes et votre dialogue, et si possible mettre des costumes/décors. La présentation à la classe doit durer 4 à 5 minutes.

TACHE: Une brochure (sur papier ou digitale)de voyage au Québec pour des lycéens américains qui étudient le français. Découvrir la culture francophone québecoise (l'histoire, la nourriture, la géographie, les langues, les traditions, les activités pendant les différentes saisons). Note that the part on the History of Quebec will be in English!

Students will write a descriptive (adjectives) explanation of an image from their Spring break using past tenses.

Rubric for assessing oral production

This rubric is designed for a performance work where students, in assigned groups, will use vocabulary, grammar and language convention concepts to present, in a unique and creative fashion, to an appropriate grade-level audience in order to get their message across 'en français'.

Presentational Writing

Write an original story (Past Thanksgiving Break) in French using the Passé Compose 1. Write a minimum of 15 sentences 2. Use both verbs conjugated with Etre and avoir. Give many details about the holiday including the place, destination, the way you got there, when, with whom did you spend time, what you ate, who did what?which activities you did? When you came back to SM? How? At what time?...and anything that will make your paragraph interesting.
