Delivering a news broadcast

Students select the kind of sonnet and write an original sonnet based on that structure. They expected to employ various poetic devices and produce a polished piece of poetry.

Each group will create a padlet, one person will create it and the others in the group should be added as collaborators/contributors. Each person will become an expert in an area of choice in the Shakespeare era.

Students will choose a project for the Shakespeare unit from the list given in class. If a student has an idea beyond the list, he/she can inquire of the teacher for the possibility of doing a different project.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Padlet Presentation Project. When you have completed your Padlet, add Mrs. Schommer as a collaborator.

Students will give a short oral presentation to the class on their nonfiction book. They will give the title of the book, author, and at least 8 interesting facts from the book in a logical, sequential manner. Following their presentation they will answer two questions to clarify listeners' questions. a

As a listener themselves, they will not distract others or cause any disturbance while a peer is presenting. If they ask a question, it will be related to the information presented, not a general question.

Students will research, plan, and compose a speech in which they explain how a task is to be completed. Students must use props, visuals, or audio. Non-verbal communication is highlighted. Students will have 3 to 5 minutes to deliver the speech.

Students will choose an era in British literature/history and create a 15-20 minute presentation to use as a form of review of the semester
