Students will give a short oral presentation to the class on their nonfiction book using note cards. They will give the title of the book, author, and at least 8 or more interesting facts they learned from the book in a logical, sequential manner. Following their presentation they will answer two questions to clarify listeners' questions. As a listener themselves, they will not distract others or cause any disturbance while a peer is presenting. If they ask a question, it will be related to the information presented, not a general question.

Students will research, plan, and compose a speech in which they explain how a task is to be completed. Students must use props, visuals, or audio. Non-verbal communication is highlighted. Students will have 3 to 5 minutes to deliver the speech.
