Write an open letter to the Board of Education about the banning of the book "Maus".

A Life Celebration speech is a public speech that is a tribute that praises the achievements and virtues of someone who has died or is still living. Spoken eulogies are delivered at a funeral or memorial service. Other speeches are given at birthday, anniversary, or retirement occations.

Group is to create a power point slide(s) outlining important points about an assigned Topic. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class. The power point should be friendly to the audience members and allow the presenter an opportunity to present (not just read slides to the audience); student will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered.

Students chose which speech they wanted to complete as their final speech of the semester.

12.1 Communication in Target Language

1) Students will write an essay (2-4 pages) explaining what they learned about writing, revision, giving and receiving advice from peers. This essay may serve as an introduction. 2) Students should organize drafts of their original work from early draft to final version. 3) Students should gather reviews received and written to include. 4) The portfolio should be thought of as a publication. The quality and layout should be considered. Submit portfolio as a Word document on Engrade.
