Speaking and Listening standard grade 7

According to Ohio Learning Standards (speaking and listening), seventh grade general education students are expected to: Present claims and findings, sequencing ideas logically and using pertinent descriptions, facts, and details to accentuate main ideas or themes; use appropriate eye contact, adequate volume, and clear pronunciation.(Speaking and Listening Standard, 7th grade, 7.1).

Speaking/Listening Standard 4, grade 6

When reporting on a topic or text/telling a story/recounting an experience (1:1 or in a group), student will express her thoughts in an organized manner by: sequencing the story in correct order; providing 3-5 appropriate facts/details; staying on topic; speaking clearly with a total rubric score of 12 in two measured trials per 9 week period, with rubric data reported in anecdotal records.
