The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing a comparing/contrasting essay. The student will compare and contrast the slideshow and read aloud of "The First Thanksgiving" to their Thanksgiving celebration. In preparation for this assignment, the student will have had instruction in the writing process, sentence structure, capitalization, end marks, and specific vocabulary words.

This rubric is how classwork and individual assignments will be evaluated.

This rubric is intended for students while creating a Thanksgiving collage project of the things they are thankful for. After creating the collage they wrote a prayer of thanks to God for all of these things in their lives.
