Make a multi-media presentation (video, powerpoint, etc.) of a daily routine in German using reflexive verbs (sich waschen, sich die Zahne putzen, etc), and time. You can use your daily routine or you can get creative and create the daily routine of someone else. You may not use any English in your project and you must include both speech and written accounts. You need at least 10 activities - at least 6 must be reflexives.

Students will be required to work in groups of 3-4 students and design a poster board that explores German in some way. The categories that are available to students will be the following: Famous German speaking people - Martin Luther, Einstein, Hitler, etc. Geographical Regions - German speaking countries, regions, town, or cities Culture - German music artists, traditional German music or dance, food, fashion, German cars, typical German pastimes etc. Other - Have a idea not covered by one of the above categories? Gain approval from me and create your own topic!

For this skit, your interaction should take place at a shop (such as the butcher's, the baker's, or the produce store) or on Lastminute TV (A German home shopping network). The skit should include the following: three fruits, three vegetables, two chores, an invitation, a reason that the invitation was accepted or declined, sollen, a du-command, and 3 expressions of preference. This assignment is worth 100 points. Any additional points earned by scoring in the "outstanding" column will be awarded as bonus points.

For this project, you will create a map of a German city. The city must include 8 landmarks, and street names must be realistic German street names. (For instance, Travisstraße is okay, but Easy Street is not. Last name streets are acceptable, but limit yourself to your group or German historical figures.) Streets must be navigable by the German toy cars provided by Frau Travis. For the verbal component of this project, you will give directions around your city to a tourist. The tourist will drive a car on your city map, and follow your directions. Your directions must be entirely in German and include the direction words learned in this chapter as well as verbs in the command form. 50 points possible.

Your skit should therefore include the following: at least one of each type of the three command forms, three conjugations of the verb wissen, five directional phrases (like "Geh geradeaus in die Kärtnerstraße"), a dass-clause, and someone needs to ask for more of something that there is no more of (in other words use, the "noch ein" and "kein mehr" constructions).
