Story Board Rubric
Create a storyboard based on a fairy tale or fable of your choice. Using 8 boxes illustrate the appropriate images to depict the essence of the fairytale or fable you have chosen. Each box must contain an illustration and some sentences to describe the scene.
Puppet Show / Group Skit rubric
Students will work in groups of three our four people to create a puppet skit with dialogue. The skit should be a minimum of three minutes to a maximum of five minutes. The group will bring socks and create puppets as their characters for the skit. A group puppet show will then be performed in class. (Students will act it out with fellow classmates using their sock puppets). **Each student will be given an individual mark.
Students will compare aspects of life Canadian life to various ancient civilizations.
Students are learning about the importance of history. How we learn about history and why it is important to know events in the past. Students also exploring artifacts and how to create a time line.
Students use techniques of Pointillism to create art work of their choice.
Mosaic: Art in Pieces
Students will create a design (realistic, abstract, or non-objective) and create a mosaic using the direct method of mosaic application.
2016 Olympian Infographic
Students research a 2016 Olympic sport and create a poster and presentation to show what they have learned. Project must include: sport title, how it is done, equipment needed, uniform worn, how it is judged, exact time and location of competition, history of sport, biography of athlete competing in the Olympics in that sport, picture/video of the sport, picture of the competitor, Olympic rings,mascot of games and Rio's flag.
Students were taught the parts of a friendly letter. They were asked research someone for Black History Month and write a letter to this person using the graphic organizer. Each letter should contain 4 paragraphs with the proper date placement, salutation,conclusion and signature.
Students read the story "Ma soeur est un virus!" and were asked to complete comprehension questions. Students were also asked to make an inference and a connection to the story.
Students will present their findings on various regions of Canada to the class.
Learning objective: Students will write their own Christmas narrative that incorporates the aspects of narrative writing discussed in class. Please note that you can view your child's narrative story on their K12 account. Procedure: Students will write a narrative essay that tells of an important experience that happened to them. Students will use techniques discussed in class, including proper organization, strong word choices, and dialogue.

Students were asked to create a collage with various signs and symbols to demonstrate understanding of Remembrance Day.
Students were asked to create a collage using various shaped hearts and other Valentine's Day images.
