Organize and design costumes for a Día de Muertos comparsa.

You will be making a Slideshow describing your food likes and dislikes. Your project will include 5 foods that you like and 5 foods that you dislike. For each activity you will include a picture. The next day you will present your project to your group.

Create a travel brochure, using PowerPoint, for your designated country in the Spanish Speaking World. Develop a total cost and itinerary for two adults. This total cost itinerary includes all transportation (from flights), accommodations and tourists attractions.

Pretend you are opening an authentic restaurant in a Spanish speaking country, other than Mexico. Design a menu that represents the traditional cuisine of the country you chose. Your menu should include at least 3 appetizers, 4 main courses, each with an entree and two side dishes, and 3 desserts. You may also include beverages if you find any of interest. Each of your dishes should have a description of the item, and at least five of the dishes should be pictured.

Create a traditional craft from a Spanish-speaking country and write a report telling about the craft.

Student will recreate a work by a famous Latinx or Hispanic artist or create an original work in the artist's style.

Students chose a book to read independently and then review.

Students choose a poem by a hispanic poet and recite the poem in Spanish to the class.

Expectations for verbal questions / responses and presentations

You went on a trip in which you did volunteer work in a foreign country. Create a journal for at least three days of your vacation. Address where you went, how you traveled, and some leisure and volunteer activities you did while you were there. Each journal entry should be 4-6 sentences. You should include photos (real, clipped, or drawn) in your journal. You should include at least one photo for each entry. Google Slides is the preferred media, but you may submit a paper version if necessary.

Students must write and present one of the situations for Unit II.

You have been learning about Dia De Los Muertos in Spanish class. You were asked to make an altar, UNA OFRENDA, representing a deceased person that you would like to honor after they have passed. It may be a real person, or one made up by you.

You will create two pages from a mail-order catalog featuring magazine photos of three clothing items and three gift items, each accompanied by a brief description.Then you will present your catalog pages to the class, describing in complete sentences each item featured.

Students must write and present a description for two friends; one male, and one female. Script should be at least 10 sentences in length, and must include at least two conjunctions and at least two adverbs, and should include at least one activity each friend likes and doesn't like to do.
