This rubric is for a Lip Sync project designed for beginning theatre students. This project is for the students to get familiar with being in front of an audience.

The Task: Students were given a song to perform. They were previously instructed that counting rhythms involved counting beats. The worksheet had 2 beats in each measure.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the their assigned nutrient. The poster should have areas that show the name and function of the nutrient. It should also include examples and pictures of food that contain the nutrient in addition to the food groups the specific food represents. This collaborative effort will be explained to the class and teacher.

Twice a week, students will complete some research into a topic of their choosing for 3 weeks. At the end of the Genius Hour Project, the students will create a culminating activity based on what they discovered through their independent research.

Students will learn about tessellations and the types of tessellations that have been created. Students will then create their own tessellation using their chosen shape and transformations to create a consistent pattern.

Scientific Method: The student will be able to relate the steps in the Scientific Method and why and how each step is critical to the proper conduct of a scientific experiment.

You will be creating a piece of artwork from a medium of your choice that reflects your personal preference for music and the media factors that influence your musical choices. (Internet, TV, Movies, Commercials, Advertising, Radio, Apps (Spotify) etc.)

Critical film analysis of "Remember the Titans" highlighting the Attitudes, Prejudice Discrimination and Stereotypes in conjunction with examples from the film.

Students will create a poetry following specific forms and poetic devices.

Read and discuss the 3 problems in your groups. Construct a graph that best describes the problems, then analyze why the graph you chose is best for the problem given. Provide 2 reasons for choosing your graph on each problem. Produce a similar problem that can be graphed and then create a graph that appropriately represents your problem. Provide 2 reasons why you chose this graph as well. Make sure all graphs are labeled correctly and show your work. .

The students will develop a shoebox sized diorama depicting their research animal in its habitat. The project will contain the following: Picture of, clay image of, or plastic toy of their animal.; Any plants or other animals from that habitat, and an accurate depiction of their assigned habitat. The student will orally explain the habitat and how their animal thrives in that habitat on the days following following them turning in project.
