Field Trip

Biography of a famous 19th century person. Biography should include important details of figures life and the contributions he/she made during the late 19th century. The biography written on this person should include Personal information, qualities, and contributions. This biography needs at least 5 paragraphs.

Individual is to create a power point slide(s) outlining a biography of a historical figure. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class.

Students will use the close reading strategy to ask and answer questions about an informational text. Students will ask and answer questions about the text, referring explicitly to the text for their answers. Students will use prior knowledge to answer questions.

Write a short analysis of this character using one of the elements outlined above. In one paragraph, explain the character’s relationship, motivation, influence, or conflict. Use evidence to support the explanation. In an additional paragraph, extend this element of the character and connect it to the plot. You may explain something that has happened with the character using your above analysis. You may predict something that will happen to the character using your above analysis.
