Color Theory: Mixing Tints and Shades and complimentary col
This rubric will assess: Students understanding of how tints and shades are created using process pigments. Also value and intensity as they change when two comlimentary colors are blended in opposition in a T chart. Students ability to control the paintbrush.

Realistic and imaginative drawing for ceramic projects
In this lesson, we will be drawing from photographic source materials. If the assignment requires five drawings, then you must submit five complete drawings. If it takes 90 minutes, then spend 90 minutes on it.

Diorama studies
In this lesson, we will be drawing from observation for the purposes of establishing positive and negative space within the picture plane. Students will focus on and draw the positive and negative spaces. Students will model the Positive objects and negative space using Contour lines, and tone. Negative space does not have to be a dark black, but at least 3 different tones as well.
