The student will write an essay about their hero. The essay will identify the hero and tell why that person is their hero. The essay will state what the student's life would be like without this person.

Create 8 journal entries for a historical figure that we have discussed thus far (Ch.5-8). Your 1st entry must be an introduction. Be sure to describe any historical event they were involved in, the thoughts on the event, and even how does the person sees the future. Each entry should make connections to actual people, discoveries/inventions, lifestyles, cultures, events, etc. of the historical period being studied. Each entry must be a page in length!

Students are creating a fairytale story

Students will swap the key events and setting of two stories. The first story is one the student chooses. The second story must be created by the students. Students must identify the main events of each story and then write them in the other style. Students will ensure that each new story uses appropriate vocabulary, syntax, and style for what it is now.

Students were asked to develop a Theme Song to accompany their invented Super Hero. The Theme song was to include music and lyrics that would describe and further explain their super hero's qualities and abilties.

You will compose a minimum of a story that vividly describes the superhero you created. In this story the reader should be able to imagine the scenes and details you describe, so be sure to include descriptive adjectives and phrases that bring your story to life. You must include examples of the entire collection of Super 17 terms in your story.

Research a future career and persuade the reader why this is the best career path and back up your 3 main points with data and research. Three page typed minimum, double spaced, 12 pt font following MLA guidelines. Include a Works Cited page citing at least 4 resources, one of which is a book source. Paper will be graded on the quality of research, effective use of information, credibility of sources, content, grammar, and citations (both in-text and Works Cited page).

To create a 1950s style commercial that advertises a company in NC and targets a 1950s audience.

This essay should be a 5 paragraph essay, double spaced, 12 pt font following MLA guidelines. You must use at least one persuasive appeal. Remember to stay on one side of the argument.
