Hero Essay
The student will write an essay about their hero. The essay will identify the hero and tell why that person is their hero. The essay will state what the student's life would be like without this person.

Journal Entries of Historical Figure
Create 8 journal entries for a historical figure that we have discussed thus far (Ch.5-8). Your 1st entry must be an introduction. Be sure to describe any historical event they were involved in, the thoughts on the event, and even how does the person sees the future. Each entry should make connections to actual people, discoveries/inventions, lifestyles, cultures, events, etc. of the historical period being studied. Each entry must be a page in length!

Story Swap
Students will swap the key events and setting of two stories. The first story is one the student chooses. The second story must be created by the students. Students must identify the main events of each story and then write them in the other style. Students will ensure that each new story uses appropriate vocabulary, syntax, and style for what it is now.
