Students create their own cartoon character

Lapbook assessment rubric

This is an assignment to teach the student the power of shading values, by drawing three dimensional shaded forms on a two dimensional paper.

Students will create a dictionary with Spanish vocabulary words from previous chapters. They must include a minimum of 75 words.

Each student will present a type of music to the class. The presentation should include background information about the music, the important artists or composers, and where the music originated. In addition, you will choose a song and present a sample of the song to the class. You should include lyrics, if possible. You may use power point, posters or any other presentation software that is compatible with our computers at school.

Using their knowledge of colour theory, students use color pencils to create a grid with a simple shape. Background of grid is either warm or cool colours, shape is opposite.

Students will create a monochromatic painting of a landscape. They will try to recreate the darks and lights in the photograph while using only one color.
