Drawing from Observation-Positive and Negative Space
In this lesson, we will be drawing from observation for the purposes of establishing positive and negative space within the picture plane. Students will choose an area of the room to focus on and draw the positive and negative spaces. Students will model the Positive objects using Contour lines, and tone. Negative space does not have to be a dark black, but at least 3 different tones as well.
