7 rubric Notebook Entry Rubric       popup preview  
Notebook entries MUST be 4-6 sentences. If you are absent, write the word "absent" across the page for the date you missed. You will not need to make-up that entry. If your notebook is missing, 2 pts. (see scoring) will be deducted for each missing day. No exceptions. You will still need to complete your notes on a sheet of paper and staple it into your notebook. If you lose your notebook, you must purchase a replacement.

8 rubric Reading and Discussion       popup preview  
Students read independently and write down three key concepts and any vocabulary words. Second, students meet in groups to discuss their key concepts, vocabulary terms, and their similarities and differences. As a group they pair down all of their key concepts to two or three group key concepts. Lastly, students complete a second write up of the required information. Each student must highlight information that was used from his/her initial answer sheet.
