Reader's Response to Short Stories
Students will write a response to each short story including an introduction and conclusion in which they discuss their reaction to the text, a brief plot summary, and a brief discussion of the significance of setting, characterization, unique conflict, symbols, irony, etc. Essay should be at least 5 paragraphs, and the student should strive to make connections between the story and their personal experiences, other texts, or other medias such as film or television.
