Basic Swimming Mid-Term Skills

Rubric for assessing the freestyle swim stroke.

Student create workout video based on the knowledge they have acquired throughout class or researched workout routines. The video must include a defined fitness related workout routine incorporating the five components of fitness It must also incorporate fitness terminology, identification of muscles, and health benefits. The video must be 10-15 minutes long and students can use the camera on their computer or a flip camera. Videos must be submitted via email.

Components of a fitness program. Importance of being physically fit. Compare and contrast lifestyles of people who are physically fit and those who aren't. Develop a fitness program for someone who has never worked out before. Take into account your knowledge of fitness, their interests and goals.
