The student create a Professional Portfolio that will be used during their interview process. The student should add Items to the portfolio at will demonstrate what the student has accomplished while at HCC in the nursing program and present this portfolio during the mock interview process at the end of the program. The portfolio can also be used during the interview process after graduation.

This assignment is created to demonstrate how the EPSLOs have been met. Each student will create a Professional Portfolio that will contain evidence of how the student is prepared to enter the work environment via the interview process.

Discuss: 1. Work/life/education experiences prior to the HCC nursing program. What made you decide to become a nurse? 2. Your definition of Nursing that reflects your values and belief system. How does it relate to the HCC Nursing program's EPSLOs? (see handbook) 3. Educational goals for the next 1, 5, and 10 years. How do your educational goals align with the HCC EPSLOs? 4. Ideal work environment and patient population. How does it relate to the HCC Nursing program EPSLOs?

The final project will require the student to prepare a presentation that will address 10 concepts that were covered in the course. The student is expected to describe the concept, provide examples, and discuss how each concept relates to the HCC EPSLOs and reflect on how the coursewill affect your nursing practice. This project will be a video recording, The presentation should last at least 10 minutes but not longer than 12 minutes.

The student will begin to create a Professional Portfolio that will be used throughout their time in the HCC nursing program. Items that will be added to the portfolio each semester until the portfolio is ready for the final presentation during the mock interview process at the end of the program.

Provide the following information: 1. Contact Information 2. Introduction 3. Skills & Abilities, and/or Qualifications 4. Employment History 5. Licenses and Certifications 6.Education 7.Community Service and Volunteer Work and/or Scholarships and Awards: 8. Follows the format of work experience. Name of each related position, with a brief description of duties. 9. Create cover letter.

This rubric has been developed for the electronically shared Google Drive reflective journal. The journal is shared with your PN faculty for weekly evaluation of your end-of-program student learning outcomes. The document is continuous that you will add to weekly. The journal needs to be submitted by 5PM on Friday afternoon for the five weeks of your PNR 190 course. Please do not erase any previous entries.
