The essay will enable students to understand the unique challenges facing youth in today's global world. While youth crime is decreasing statistically, violence amongst youth is increasing leading to unresolved conflicts.

Students will research two specific animals for classification. (1) One animal will be either a mammal, reptile, amphibian, bird, or fish. (2) The other animal will be a mollusk, insect, arthropod, or worm. Students will research their animals' classifications (KPCOFGS) and present their findings, along with a picture of each animal, on two 8 1/2" x 11" white sheets of paper.
