Assessing students on their knowledge for the given research questions.

Create a promotional presentation for this course, Law 12, that could be shown to Grade 10 or 11 student's in your school. Showcase the topics, activities, and knowledge you have experienced, any insights you gained into the legal system (cool or creepy), and the benefits of taking the course. If you feel it necessary, you can also include any difficulties you may have encountered. Your presentation can be in any form you choose (powerpoint, video, poster, cartoon, etc.).

Students have been assigned an issue that is likely to play a part in October's federal election. They must create a gallery walk display and write up of their findings. The gallery walk will take place June 17th in the library. Write ups are due June 21st.

Students will create a video that highlights a local or global environmental issue that they are concerned about. Videos should be approximately 10 minutes in length and will be shown to the class starting on June 18th.

Based on what we have learned in class, and the Truth and Reconciliation commissions calls to action, reflect on how laws in Canada effect the Indigenous community.

Students will create a PowerPoint project about their culture or cultural background. Presentations should be roughly 15 minutes long and students are encouraged to bring in food from their chosen culture for the class to enjoy.

Students will give a speech about a topic that they are passionate about. They will be assessed content and style of delivery. Speeches need to be a minimum of 2:30 minutes long and no longer than 3:30 minutes. Students may not just read their speech out loud but they can use flash cards as an aid.

Your job is to research the history of religious tolerance/intolerance in your assigned country and create a research paper explaining your findings. The paper will be due on June 11th. Your essay should be a minimum of 1000 words and a maximum of 1500 words. Include a reference page and make sure to acknowledge quotations.

Task: Each student is asked to lead a discussion on a current topic in the news revolving around social justice Choose a current artifact (newspaper article, journal, video clip, etc.) and lead a 40 minute class discussion revolving around this issue.
