Learning Objective for Research Paper: Demonstrate critical thinking skills in a professional, written form. Verify your understanding of the physiological, psychological, or social aspects of sexual development across the life span, so as to achieve healthy sexual adjustment. If needed, refer back to the course objectives listed in the syllabus to appropriately choose those that apply to your chosen topic. (The 10 objectives are for your knowledge - Appendix A)

Students will choose a topic related to nutrition and diet therapy and complete an educational brochure for a selected population. For example, a brochure highlighting proper nutrition during lactation for breastfeeding or expectant mothers would be appropriate. Topic must be approved by instructor before beginning. Please see the attached rubric or the instructor for additional help. A total of 30 points (calculated at 20% of your final grade) is possible with this assignment.

The students STI presentation rubric will be assigned a specific Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) and undertake research and put together a powerpoint on this topic. The ppt will contain information that the students collected regarding both specific information related to their assigned STI and safe sex practices.
