LOTF Symbolism Paper
You will choose a symbol from "Lord of the Flies" (either from the symbolism chart or a selected symbol that you have cleared with the teacher). After you choose the symbol, you will create a visual representation or presentation to show this symbol to the class. You will also write a paper explaining your project and the symbol you chose. This paper will include an explanation of the symbol, its importance, relevance to the story and how you chose to represent it visually. You will also be assessed on whether you used an outside source for research, (creativity) how many errors are present in your paper, (mechanics) and how long your paper is. (effort) Your target length is 300-500 words. You may use outside research, but if you do so you must cite the source, and some deductions may be made for lack of original thought.
