All students are expected to participate in class.Forms of participation: in class discussion, giving other students feedback in class, adhering to the no-phone rule, consistent on time attendance, doing the in-class exercises without distraction and returning from break in a timely manner. If a student is absent, s/he losses the days' participation points.

Students are to create a power point presentation outlining important points about the group/culture they were assigned. Students must present information & power point presentation to the class. The power point should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the topic researched and allow the presenter an opportunity to present (not just read slides to the students); students will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered. Presentations will be 15 minutes long.

Research the approved topic. Submit 1500+ words of the results of your research. Include a APA 6th ed. Cover and Reference page with at least 5 sources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. Grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
