After reading "The Odyssey," students will compose their own epic.

You are going to pick a theme and look at how the message/theme is presented in song. How does it change between genre, era, and performer?

Students will compose an explanatory essay on topic of injustice.

Students compose a photo essay exploring the idea of identity through writing and photography.

Students wrote an article about a hero in their life, containing strong, vivid word phrases and visuals.

Students will create their own short story, poetry, letter, or essay collection incorporating intentional literary devices such as metaphors, similes, and descriptive language, and focusing on a singular theme.

Develop a lesson to teach your classmates about your chosen topic through an interactive, engaging presentation. You must follow and fully complete the lesson plan format provided in its entirety, including lesson goals and objectives, agenda, materials, assessment, and lesson goals. You must also teach your lesson plan to your section on your chosen date; there are no excuses. If you are absent, you will need to set up a time with Ms. Dugan.

You are critically thinking about something in your world you would like to change. Then create a plan for how to make the change happen.

Create either an infographic, a slideshow, an essay, a detailed trifold board/poster, a Prezi, a PowToon, a video, or another method of your choice with teacher approval to demonstrate your understanding of Social Justice. Show how can you help these situations? Make it interesting! Requirements: A pre-write that shows the issue, the presentation.
