Display pictures of rural/suburban/urban scenes with captions describing type of community and provide a written answer to two questions: 1) What kind of community do you live in and how can you make it safer? Three sentences. 2) If you were mayor of your town what laws would you create to make your town safer? Three sentences.

Create a scene with at least 12 neatly & correctly labeled landforms, using playdough or other material on a piece of cardboard or in a box no larger than 8x10.

This rubric will assess students ability to effectively predict the beginning and ending of the story based off what knowledge they have from a picture walk. The students will make a personal connection after reading the story.

Use the SMART goal framework to create three personal nutrition goals. 2. Complete a week long meal plan using the dry-erase planner provided. Use the Canada food guide checklist to ensure that your plan meets all nutrition requirements. 3. Explain how your meal plan will help you to achieve your nutrition goals. (Minimum 2 paragraphs) Please hand in all three parts to this assignment.

Second grade has been learning about the three types of communities. Our project now, is to build a shoebox diorama showcasing a prairie community. Remember, in a community, you find buildings, plants, animals and people.

A How-to Essay is a written, step-by-step explanation of a process. Choose a process that you enjoy and write a how-to essay that will help readers perform the process, even if it's something they've never done before.

Students will • describe a region of Canada and explain its provinces.

Student will create a design that demonstrates several requested elements of art (line, shape, color, space, form, space , and texture) as described on handout in a specified rectangle. The design should demonstrate an understanding of the elements of art. The principles of unity and emphasis will also be introduced. Various media are used to practice skills. Students are encouraged to incorporate symbols and elements that reflect their personality and interests.
