Students will create an advertisement using persuasive details, colour, images, sound and good adjectives. Advertisement can be for an original product(a product you create) or a product that is already on the market ( create a new ad for Pepsi, etc). Choose HOW you want to market and your target audience. Decide how best you can persuade those buyers to purchase your product.

Students will investigate a natural disaster. Student will discuss the causes of the natural disaster, the geographic location the disaster takes place, and the worst occurrences of this disaster.

Include the following items in your evacuation plan: • Primary exits • Secondary exits • Areas to avoid during evacuation In the Emergency Evacuation Plan box, create a color-code key for your evacuation plan. • For example, you could write: Green Zone – Primary Exit through the North Stairway. In the Evacuation Reminders box, write a list of at least three fire safety guidelines. • For example, you could write: Turn off all electrical equipment during an emergency evacuation.

The students will put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information that could be utilized in advertising their business. Students will provide a creative and colorful poster. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board).

The student will find an article that pertains to a healthy lifestyle. The student will summarize the article on a handout provided.

Students develop their skills in representing written text on graphic organisers. They watch the documentary 'Ten Dollars a Litre' by Dick Smith. This develops skills in note-taking from a visual resource. They then represent gathered research on a graphic organiser of choice.

You will create a new company logo, You will be using Photoshop/Illustrator for this endeavor. Logo must be relevant to your chosen business it must CLEARLY identify what type of company you are, use appropriate fonts, color and balance in your design according to good design principles discussed in class.
