5th Grade EOY Research Project Rubric.

Create with your chosen group, a poster of the Solar System with the following elements listed for your assigned planets/objects in correct space in the Solar System: Mercury/Venus, Earth/Mars, Jupiter/Saturn, Uranus/Neptune, Flying Objects/Kuiper Asteroid Belt, Stars/Constellations, Galaxies

Rubric for rating student's purposeful use of class time, including initiating work, remaining on-task, completing assignments, balancing social interactions and initiating work in class.

Rubric for evaluating project where paired students will research, list/purpose both physical and behavioral adaptations for an assigned animal currently existing (poster 1). Students will then create an new animal by changing its environment. Students will research, name, and list both physical/behavioral adaptations of the animal (poster 2).

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Digital Storytelling presentation project. This rubric can be used with any tool from PowerPoints to Sway and Prezis. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Digital Storytelling presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your project and purpose have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Students are to create a movie trailer for their Lit. Circle book. The book should engage viewers and make the viewers WANT to read the book. Requirements include 1-3 minutes of video, music, titles, and some editing. Student's video MUST be relevant to the book.

Students must create a script about the book they are reading. The skit/Play will then be performed in class. (Students may act it out with fellow classmates).

Students will create a Poster advertising the book they are reading. Title, Author, 3 sentences, graphics, spelling, etc.

Students will read weekly chapter assignments and complete a five to seven sentence summary for each chapter. Each paragraph will include the main idea and supporting details for each chapter read. The goal of this rubric is to obtain a better understanding of how to write a great summary and locate the main idea within a chapter, while using background knowledge (BK) and textual clues (TC) to identify unknown or current vocabulary words.

Pick a Florida Landform, draw a picture and explain the natural processes that created it.

Based on the FAA Airport Design Challenge in Minecraft where students build all facets (in detail), of an airport.

Administrative Rubric for Identifying Classroom Practices for Teachers of the Gifted

Student follows directions, completes a current event or science article summary, and fills out and attaches a dogonews.com slip.

Rubric to grade students on science fair project boards with journal and presentation.

Students will know the difference between weather/climate, and why they are important to our everyday life? Students will design and conduct experiments that mimic the interaction between land, water, and air under differing conditions. Present findings to the class. (SC.5.E.7.4)
