Using Adobe Illustrator, design 2 comprehensive drafts of your top 2 logos voted by your classmates.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of the Principles of Design with thumbnail drawings. Each thumbnail will represent one of the Principles: Proportion, Balance, Emphasis, Rhythm, Movement, Repetition, and Unity.

Working in groups of three to four, students will work collaboratively on a brand-new chocolate bar that would be popular with young people ages 13–19. ○ Design a NEW chocolate bar ○ Design a brand name, logo, and slogan ○ Identify what makes your chocolate bar different ○ Price of the bar and where it will be sold Then, students will create and send surveys to test assumptions about their product and change the product based on results.

Create a visual ad convincing the audience to purchase your product. Think magazine advertisement. You may use them for inspiration, BUT you can not copy it! If I find your ad or an ad that looks very similar to your ad, you WILL get a ZERO. This should be your OWN ORIGINAL WORK! Should only contain visual persuasive techniques. There should be minimal writing on the ad.

Artboard: 11” x 8.5 inches | For Print Using Adobe Illustrator, use your first word to express the meaning of the word using outlines. In another artboard, choose your second word and express the opposite meaning of the word in the word using outlines. Export two PDFs and submit on Google Classroom.

In Adobe Illustrator, develop & design an event poster based on one of the vintage travel poster examples given. Assume a print size of letter (8.5"x11".) This is to be a 4 color process (CMYK) job. The vector art should be similar to the original vintage poster that the student has chosen, yet be creative and original. All headline and body copy from the original design must be used, but students should take the opportunity to rearrange their placement and change colors/fonts and other typographical elements in order to take better advantage of design principles. Students must save the design in the correct file format and place in a new InDesign document, then properly package the document for print production.

This project is a creative project where you will use a picture of yourself to create a self-portrait using illustrator.

Students will create a magazine advertisement using advertising techniques as outlined in the "sell it to them - magazine ad" planning sheet. Advertisement should be for a product not normally advertised to teens. Choose HOW you want to market it and WHO you want to sell it to. Choose techniques to persuade those buyers to purchase your product using the techniques discussed.
