Student Peer Evaluation of Group Members

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Google Slides presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component (part) of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Google Slides presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your presentation have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

The presenter(s) will put together an electronic presentation to show during the oral presentation. The group's oral presentation must be aligned with the electronic presentation.

You are to use an online interactive timeline creation tool to build your timeline. The timeline must have 8 or more entries. Each entry must have the name of the event or person, it's date, a description of the event or person importance / significance, an image that illustrates the entry, and the entry must be accurate. When the timeline is done, your group must email it to the teacher.

Students will create a plot diagram and identify examples from the text that illustrate each element of plot. Students will describe each event and plot.

(15 POINTS )- (4 points each section). All students are expected to participate in class! Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, and consistent attendance.

Students will create a visual dictionary using the Frayer Model for dialectical vocabulary words from Watson's Go to Birmingham.

You are creating a menu for restuarant in a Spanish speaking country. You must give your restaurant a name (in Spanish) and create the menu entirely in Spanish. You must use the vocabulary from Chapter 3 Unit 2 as well as past vocabulary. You must also have a recipe in English and Spanish as well as a dialog in Spanish.

Students have been asked to prepare a short 1 minute speech on a specific topic and present it in front of the class.

Students will build a webpage on an country in Asia.

The purpose of this assignment is to raise awareness and critical thinking by working on a series (6-8) of pictures. Students have been investigating how physical features of the Earth affect the development of human societies and, in turn, how societies affect the physical environment. This project will investigate these questions as students portray their "something beautiful" in response to the story we read in class. The pictures must be related to what the student considers their "something beautiful." Examples: pictures of different objects, settings, a series of photos describing a process or event, etc…These pictures wil be digitally inserted into a Power Point presentation, Prezi, or published on the student's Weebly.
