Use this rubric for grading student responses that are part of a test or quiz that include other types of questions as well. Can be customized for any subject.

Greek Myth summarized in a comic format. Students were to include a summary of the myth with an illustration describing what was occuring. Students were also to include some supporting dialogue.

Used to grade comics created to retell famous myths based on student research. The comics had particular requirements (such as an image representing the likely location of the myth) and a minimum number of panels.

Students create the story of their own hero. There should be a picture to demonstrate the superhero.

In Gods, Goddesses and Superheroes class, students create the story of their own hero and his/her story following one of the types of heroes that they learned about. They will also create a picture of their hero through an online hero creator to go along with that story.

Students will create a song or rap to tell the story of the Younger's, discuss theme, moral, conflict and resolution. Students can record the performance for the class or perform the song live for extra credit. Students can also use YouTube to create a video as well. Lyrics and song choices MUST be school appropriate. Inappropriate lyrics or songs may result in a zero. A typed (Times New Roman, double spaced, 12 point font) copy of the song is to be handed in upon performance.

Students will be building a terrarium using the guidelines I have given them. They will also be creating a small trifold poster that explains how the water cycle and carbon cycle are represented in their terrarium, as well as how humans could cause a disruption in these cycles.

Student will write a persuasive essay on one of three topics provided. The essay needs to have a clear introduction that clearly states their position. The body of the essay needs have a minimum of three facts from the information provided that supports their position. The paper needs to end with a strong conclusion.

Write a persuasive argument encouraging your Congressman to adopt your position (against, for or for with restrictions) regarding the legalization of human cloning. The persuasive editorial must contain at least 3 fully developed supporting paragraphs . You are to demonstrate your comprehension of the subject as well as your writing skills utilizing appropriate vocabulary.
