Students will use Explain Everything to demonstrate their understanding of solving multi-step equations.

In this task, students will use the Book Creator app to author a multi-media mathematics chapter or guide. This eBook should serve as a study resource to the author(s) as well as classmates. Including strategies presented in class that may not be found in traditional textbooks is highly encouraged. Likewise, since this is a multi-touch eBook, using apps and tools that showcase technology and interactive features are required.

In this performance task, students will create a "Choose Your Own Adventure" story relating math concepts and terminology to an original story. Stories will be presented using hyperlinks in PowerPoint or Keynote.

Using an online comic strip generator or drawing by hand, each student will create a comic strip to show understanding of a specific, assigned mathematical concept. Students must create a map of a city. The map must include a city name, two examples of parallel lines, 2 examples of perpendicular lines, 5 different polygons, and 2 different types of triangles, 1 trapezoid and 1 parallelogram, illustrated (using ruler and protractor) and colored. Finished product will be discussed (with shapes and angles) during a critique. 150 points

How are you spending your time? Using fractions, decimals, percents, proportions, and central angles, students will express their daily activities visually using a circle graph.

Using Connected Math's Clever Counting Investigation 2, students will extend the lock problems from the text by creating their own lock sequence to secure their most prized possession.
