Curricular Expectations for the grade 5/6 Curriculum on Healthy Eating

The student must design a brochure that explains how one can childproof a home after viewing several safety issues that are sometimes common safety issues that are seem during a babysitting job.

Field Hockey unit consists of ten lessons which incorporated preseason fitness testing. Students are required to submit a written evaluation of skills according to defined rubrics. This constitutes 20% of their unit grade.

Concepts of motor skill development using agility, power, speed and coordination are to be intergrated into the practiced skills of field hockey.

Students will design a personal workout using the FIT principal to develop their own specific health needs. Explain how frequency, intensity and time are used to enhance your own level of fitness. use any of the four elements of fitness to explain how these will be enhanced through your activities.
