My name is Mrs. Myers and I have been a homeschooling mom for the past 11 years.  I have a teaching degree and taught in the public schools before becoming a mother.  Since that time, I have been devoted to raising and teaching my own children at home.  Three years ago, after my children had been attending a few classes at CTC for 5 years, I decided to re-enter the teaching field by taking on the literature classes at CTC.  Of all the areas of English, I would have to say that literature is my passion.  I am never happier than when introducing students to the intrigue of Poe or the intricate symbolism in a Hawthorne work.  My "delight" is when they can begin to analyze the works on their own and share their insight with me.

This year, I began teaching the Junior High Grammar class at CTC and have enjoyed working with junior high students.  Their enthusiasm and energy though sometimes exhausting, is also quite invigorating.  

This is my family.  My children are quickly approaching graduation and it is my hope to continue teaching at CTC as my homeschooling duties slowly come to an end.
