North Central AFP NAEYC Study Group

About Me

The Accreditation Facilitation Project is a statewide system providing guidance and support to programs through the NAEYC Accreditation process. The North Central project can be found at the Hartford AEYC office.

Study groups are facilitated discussions based on the new NAEYC Standards and Accreditation Performance Criteria. We will focus on 4 standards* by discussing the “big ideas” conveyed in these new documents. The study group process will model a team approach to exploring the criteria and will provide participants with strategies to extend the discussion to their own settings.

Study groups are intended for participants who will actively bring information back to colleagues by replicating the process outlined in these groups. Participants will be expected to commit to attending every scheduled session of the study group.
