Who am I?

My name is Blanca Hernandez and I am the Bilingual teacher at Falconer Pre-K.

What are my credentials?

I hold a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Spanish.  I am currently enrolled in a Masters program majoring in Curriculum Construction.

What is my experience?

I have been an Early Childhood teacher for six consecutive years.  I have taught at the preschool level for five years and have always worked with ELL learners.

What is my philosophy of education?

I strongly believe that every child has the potential to learn. Every child is an individual and should be treated accordingly.  Primary caregivers are the most important people in a child's life and only through direct collaboration with caregivers can I provide the maximum learning experience for every child.  My classroom doors are always open to the families of my students.  I work endlessly to provide a safe and nurturing environment where my students and their families feel welcomed and at ease.

What are my goals for my students?

I have one general goal.  That goal is to do everything that is within my reach so that every child in my classroom is provided with the same opportunities to learn.  With that goal accomplished I can then set individual goals for all my students.
