As important as advances in technology are, and as much as they can enhance the learning experience, education is ultimately about people.  The feelings and reactions of students are as varied and numerous as the stars in the sky. I have included this class discussion about assessments, because the emotions it evoked surprised me. I hadn’t thought of this in years, but its impact was huge. Perhaps it will help me and any others who read it to remember that we can never underestimate the impact of what we do as teachers.
